Hi, my name is Melanie. I am a chef instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York and also work as a culinary consultant. ** I have since your last visit, moved on to establish a cooking school in Cranford, NJ called - Little Fox Kitchen.
Food was not a path I had planned on and was set on a career in law when life took an unexpected turn. I found myself in a new country and attended hotel school in Switzerland. The school introduced me to a whole different world. I fell in love with food more ways than one - it became a passion and my career.
I went to establish two cooking schools ** now on my third! and became a recipe developer for global food companies.
I have worked for and assisted multi-awarded chefs, cookbook authors and various talented people, but teaching people to cook has been my long passion and my greatest joy. I have taught at Haven's Kitchen in New York, The Silo Hunt Farm Cooking in Connecticut, Global Kitchen, NYC Cooking Studio and Hudson Table. I have also led team building events through cooking classes for leading companies.
I continue to cook, travel and explore food & cooking around the world.
